LVCU is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are also members of the Financial Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service.
In addition we are also a member of the Credit Union professional body The Association of British Credit Union (ABCUL).
About Us
Our Credit Union is a profit sharing, democratically run financially co-operative, which offers convenient savings convenient saving and low interest loans to members of the public. We are committed to offering low-cost financial services to every member of our community.
Membership is open to all those who live or work in the Llynfi Valley Area and we currently have over 2000 members, both adult and juniors who have saved together over 2 million pound.
We have 4 staff who are responsible for the ongoing development and administration of the Credit Union.
In addition we have volunteers working over two offices (Maesteg and Caerau).
