LVCU is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the PRA. We're also a member of the Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL).

Owned by members, run for the community

Our Credit Union is a profit-sharing, democratically run financial co-operative which offers convenient savings and low-interest loans to members of the public. We are committed to offering low-cost financial services to every member of our community.

Membership is open to all those who live or work in the Llynfi Valley area. We currently have over 2,000 members — adults and juniors — who have saved together over £2 million.

We have 4 staff responsible for the ongoing development and administration of the Credit Union, supported by volunteers across our two offices in Maesteg and Caerau.
